Congresswoman Claudia Tenney (NY-22) joined members of the House Agriculture Committee at SUNY Cobleskill for a Farm Bill Listening Session. Throughout the process of writing the 2018 Farm Bill, the House Agriculture Committee has traveled across the country to get input from stakeholders in all sectors of the agricultural industry.

“Agriculture is among upstate New York’s most important industries and a vital part of our region’s heritage. In the 22nd District, family farmers are the backbone of our communities and economy. Today’s Farm Bill Listening Session will ensure that the voice of Upstate farmers are heard in the process of writing the 2018 Farm Bill.  I am grateful to Chairman Conaway and members of the Agriculture Committee for taking the time to listen to the priorities of farmers in our region firsthand,” said Tenney.

Other members in attendance included Reps. Mike Conaway, Glenn Thompson, Collin Peterson and John Faso.

This was one of the many issues covered at today’s listening session.
