Two years after enduring the harsh glare of negative publicity, Texas-based Blue Bell Creameries is inviting consumer scrutiny. In 2015, the iconic Brenham-based ice cream maker was at the center of a product recall that garnered international attention. Blue Bell Ice Cream is back on shelves in Indianapolis and nine other Indiana cities today after a three-year hiatus due to a nationwide listeria recall.

The Texas-based company hasn't been sold in the state since 2015, when it was linked to several listeria illnesses, including three deaths in Kansas. It moved back into some other markets later the same year it was recalled.

The popular ice cream will be available at Walgreens, Meijer, Fresh Thyme Farmers Market, Safeway, Walmart and others. You can check out a full list of locations at Blue Bell's website.

The ice cream is now available in Indianapolis, Bloomington, Columbus, Fort Wayne, Kokomo, Lafayette, West Lafayette, Muncie, Richmond and Terre Haute.

Blue Bell also plans to come back to Kentucky and New Mexico this year.
