Bishkek, Nov.21, 2019. /Kabar/. As part of Kyrgyzstan’s membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), Free Trade Agreements have been signed between the EAEU and Vietnam, as well as with Iran and Serbia, Kyrgyz Deputy Minister of Economy Eldar Alisherov told reporters.

According to him, talks are underway to conclude an agreement with India, Egypt and Israel.

“For Kyrgyzstan, the agreement with Vietnam provided an opportunity to increase exports of tobacco raw materials, alcoholic beverages, cattle, poultry eggs and dairy products. As far as Iran is concerned, mutual tariff preferences are provided for all the main declared goods of export interest of the parties. For Kyrgyzstan, this is a reduction in Iran's tariffs on cattle, beans, honey, mineral water, and pasta,” Alisherov said.

He noted Serbia will be provided with duty-free access to the export potential of the Kyrgyz Republic as beans, nuts and honey. Along with other EAEU countries, Kyrgyzstan will get preferential access in the form of a tariff quota for such goods as cigarettes (applied tariff rate of Serbia -57.6%), processed cheese (applied tariff rate of Serbia -30%), grape alcohol tinctures (applied tariff rate of Serbia -30 %). There will also be the zeroing of customs duties on the main agricultural products: processed dried fruits, sausages, lamb and beef,” the deputy economy minister added.
