EUR 1.87 mln to be earmarked for different investments in 2021 budget in Latvia

In the 2021 basic budget, EUR 1.875 billion have been earmarked for investments, writes LETA, according to the Finance Ministry in Latvia.

In 2020 budget, EUR 1.768 billion were earmarked for investments, thus, in next year's budget, investments will grow by EUR 107 million.


In next year's budget, EUR 547.5 million will be allocated for EU structural funds and Cohesion Fund projects, including EUR 84.5 million for Cohesion Fund projects, EUR 363.6 million for the European Regional Development Fund projects and EUR 99.4 million for the European Social Fund projects.


EUR 213.7 million will be earmarked for  agricultural and rural development projects, including EUR 51.3 million for the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund, EUR 131 million for the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, EUR 31.4 million for the European Fisheries Fund, and the European Fisheries and Maritime Fund projects.


Also, EUR 208.7 million are earmarked for other projects of EU policy instruments and foreign financial assistance.


As reported, the Saeima has forwarded to committees the 2021 state budget bill.


Consolidated budget revenue is planned at EUR 9.579 billion, down EUR 328 million from this year. Next year's budget expenditure, meanwhile, is projected at EUR 10.758 billion, which is an increase of EUR 744 million against this year's budget expenditure.
