Man wanted in connection with Layton shooting found in Nevada

A man suspected of shooting an Ogden man in front of a Layton apartment complex last month was arrested Tuesday near Reno.

The Oct. 26 shooting put a 32-year-old man in the hospital in serious condition, according to police. He has been released from the hospital and is expected to survive.

U.S. Marshals tracked down the 31-year-old accused shooter in Sparks, Nevada, according to a Facebook post from the Layton Police.

After a car chase, the marshals took the man into custody, the post states.

According to Layton police Lt. Travis Lyman, the alleged shooter lived in the apartment complex where the afternoon shooting happened.

The men knew each other through a woman, Lyman said. One man was her current boyfriend; the other, her ex.
