Reporter’s Note: Every week, I’ll be sharing one dish or meal I’m still craving. Writing a blogpost burns more calories than heading back out the the local eatery for that dish I’m yearning to eat again.

My social media feeds are fairly well-stocked with delicious looking dishes, thanks to my job as well as my genuine love of food. It takes a lot to get me to stop that endless scroll.

Grovetucky Farms’ literally over-the-top milkshakes made me do just that. It’s the latest food venture from the folks who brought Orlando the burger-centric Treehouse Truck.

The food truck (or trailer, technically) held its grand opening recently in College Park, mixing up three of the seven shakes on its menu.

Although the PB Pretzel Crunch and the Strawberry varieties both looked incredible, the lineup of ingredients in the 1847 (Birthday) appealed to my sweet tooth. The vanilla milkshake was mixed with cake batter flavorings. It was garnished with a healthy smear of vanilla icing and a dusting of sprinkles on its rim, along with dollops of whipped cream and a Funfetti cupcake on top.

The thick, creamy shake and sweet toppings were an indulgent end to my day.

If the $8-$9 price tag scares you off from Grovetucky’s signature shakes, the food truck also lets guests create their own dessert starting off with chocolate, vanilla or strawberry milkshake bases for $5 (extra toppings are 50 cents each).
