HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) - The Farm Aid music festival is taking place this year in Hartford.

The annual event, which raises money and awareness for family farms, takes place Saturday at the Xfinity Theater, the first time in its 33-year history it has been held in Connecticut.

Artists including Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews are scheduled to perform.

The festival also will showcase food from local farmers and lessons for concert-goers on everything from bee keeping to cheese-making.

Since its inception in 1985, Farm Aid has raised more than $53 million.

Organizers say tickets for the festival sold our four hours after going on sale.
