Hall Co.: Agri-entertainment venue planned on Chestatee Rd., dog daycare/grooming business on Friendship

By Ken Stanford Contributing Editor

An entertainment venue is proposed for Chestatee Road and a dog daycare and grooming business is in the works for Friendship Road, with both applications headed to the Hall County Planning Commission next month.

Brenton Pierce's application calls for using a barn on Chestatee near North River Road for weddings, family and high school reunions, and "other similar agri-entertainment uses."  The maximum number of participants at any one event would be limited to 200, according to the document.  Operating hours would be 9:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 9:00 a.m.-11:00 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

The dog daycare and grooming service would be located on Friendship Road near Friendship Circle.

Dane Robertson's application says the facility would be housed in a 10,000 square foot building, and there would be no "outside pens or runways."   Included on the site would be a 10-foot planted buffer on the northeastern and southeastern sides of the property along with a privacy fence.

Both items ae on the planning commission's Feb. 5 agenda.
