Ethanol, DDGS exports down on month

U.S. ethanol exports declined from October to November.

The Renewable Fuels Association says monthly sales of 113.6 million gallons were down 10% on the month, but up 6% from the November 2019 total.

Canada accounted for about a third of the month total, while sales to Brazil were a seven month high and China bought more U.S. ethanol than in any month since March 2018.

November ethanol imports topped 19 million tons, nearly all from Brazil.

Exports of distillers dried grains with solubles were 927,604 tons, a month to month decline of 3%, with decreases for Mexico, Vietnam, and South Korea cancelling out four-month high in sales to Turkey.

The next set of domestic ethanol production and supply numbers is out Wednesday, January 13th.
