A farm attack took place on Friday 11 June 2021, at 21:00, at the Amberg guest farm in Paarl, in the Western Cape province of South Africa.

Three sisters and their friend from Holland were attacked whilst sitting around a fire by four balaclava clad attackers. They were tied up and robbed and the house was ransacked.

The attackers were armed with a firearm, more than one knife and a crowbar.

The home was ransacked and for more than two hours while the tied up group were held captive. The attackers then locked the them in the bathroom before they left.

The sisters managed to untie themselves and one climbed through the window to get help. The farm owner and the Police arrived on the scene to assist.

The very traumatised sisters said that they were grateful that they were not seriously injured or killed.

There have been no arrests.
