J&K: FPO organises workshop for trout fish farmers

In a productive move in Jammu and Kashmir, Farmers Producer Organisation (FPO) has started working under the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) scheme in Anantnag. An awareness cum workshop was also organised for the Trout fish farmers under the FPO. The fish farmers will come across the importance and benefits of FPO through the scheme. While talking to ANI, NABARD District Development Manager Rouf Zargar said, “We gave awareness on importance and benefits of FPO to the farmers. I’m happy to tell that we also sanctioned a fisheries FPO. This is the first FPO that has been sanctioned under Fisheries in Jammu and Kashmir. This will benefit the fish farmers as they earn their bread and butter.”
