COLUMBUS – The Colorado County Beef and Forage Committee announced their upcoming Beef and Forage 5-Hour CEU Educational Event scheduled for Monday, Feb.24. The event will be held at the Colorado County Fairgrounds HE Building located at 1146 Crossroads Blvd, Columbus, Tx, 78934.
Registration will be from 8 to 8:30 a.m., with the program beginning at 8:30 a.m. and concluding by 3 p.m. A catered barbecue lunch will be served.
The cost of attendance is $40 per person if preregistered by Feb. 21. Registration at the door is $45 per person.
Topics covered in this program will include Feral Hog Control Strategies; Pasture Production: Forage Selection and Weed Control; Keeping the Cowherd Healthy; Watersheds and Water Quality; and TDA Laws and Regulations Update.
Five continuing education units (CEUs) will be offered TDA for Pesticide Applicators with Agricultural licenses pending TDA approval.
