Music industry legends took to the stage at the FireAid benefit concert on Jan. 30 to raise millions of dollars for those impacted by the deadly wildfires that devastated California in the last month.

The FireAid concert saw chart-topping artists from both the past and present come together to perform in a sensational show to help those who lost everything in the fires, and support families of people who lost their lives. It was held at two venues in California. The music concert was held at the Kia Forum, and the Intuit Dome.

The LA wildfires were a catastrophe that sent shockwaves through the world, tearing apart the lives of everyday people as well as celebrities. L.A. wildfires have ripped through almost 5,000 acres of land since first erupting on January 7, 2025. As hundreds of California firefighters assisted in the struggle against the inferno, many of them were injured in the course of their duties.

Some of the star-studded talent that appeared at the benefit concert included Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks, Rod Stewart, Billie Eilish and Finneas, Earth, Wind & Fire, Gracie Abrams, Green Day, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Lil Baby, P!nk, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and many more. During the concert, a number of celebrities and political leaders were spotted in the audience including former Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband Douglas Emhoff.

Connie and Steve Ballmer - who own the LA Clippers basketball team, as well as the Intuit Dome and Forum - announced that they were going to match all of the donations made during the broadcast. While the grand total has not been revealed yet, in the days leading up to the concert organizers confirmed they already raised more than $60 million from ticket sales and corporate sponsorships.

The wildfires did not discriminate, with celebrities and civilians losing their homes. They included reality TV stars Paris Hilton and Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt who have opened up about the devastation and how it has impacted their lives. One of the many celebrities that shared their experience watching their homes burn down was comedian Billy Crystal.

During his emotional speech at the concert, the 76-year-old comedian shared: "When we were finally able to. get back to our house in the Palisades, which we lived in for 46 years, like thousands of you - our house now looks like this [shows image of the wreckage]. I fell to my knees and I wailed. I had not cried like that since I was 15 years old and I was told my father had just died."

It was reported that in the midst of the wildfire, at least a dozen California firefighters have lost their own homes. The devastating news comes as those very same men and women attempted to save the lives and homes of others.

Another musician to take the stage was John Mayer who performed a beautiful cover of Tom Petty's Free Fallin' as well as his own hit songs Gravity and Neon. Ahead of his set, the 47-year-old singer said: "For those whose dreams are broken, for those whose dreams have not, we will get together tonight and many other nights to make sure those dreams are repaired. Rockstar Rod Stewart also blew audiences away with his performance as he sang his famous classic Forever Young. As the 80-year-old singer took the stage in his eye-matching zebra-print jacket, many fans at home were amazed by his timeless talent as he still had the same impressive vocals and energetic presence as he did back in the day.

Dr Dre also took to the stage during the show to perform his iconic track, California Love, but some fans questioned Snoop Dogg's absence, taking aim at him for performing at a pre-Inauguration party for Donald Trump.

Jelly Roll later took to the stage, before bringing out surprise guest Travis Barker, of Blink-182 fame, who is married to Kourtney Kardashian.

During the concert, pop sensation Gwen Stefani also stepped out to support the state of California. During the event, Gwen made a rare reunion with her former No Doubt bandmates. This marks the first time the rock band has sang together since their groundbreaking performance at Coachella in 2024. During the show, the band played their hit song Spiderwebs from their 1995 album Tragic Kingdom.
