FSC Welcomes Adrian Ram as New Director

His qualifications include Bachelor of Laws and Commerce degrees from the University of Queensland (1986), CPA Deakin Australia, membership of Fiji Institute of Accountants, MBA (USP 2012) and admission to the Supreme Court of Queensland (1986).

FSC Welcomes Adrian Ram as New Director
Mr Adrian Sunil Parshu Ram.

Fiji Sugar Corporation Ltd Chairman, Mr Nitya Reddy, warmly welcomes the announcement and appointment of Mr Adrian Sunil Parshu Ram as a Director on the FSC Board, effective from 1 April 2025.

He replaces former board director Mr. Athil Narayan, who had been on the Board for the last 7 years. In thanking him for his service, Mr Reddy acknowledged his “outstanding contributions to the industry and his leadership in the advocacy of climate sustainability, SAF ( Sustainable Aviation Fuel) and ethanol.”

Welcoming Mr Parshu Ram, who is a lawyer by profession and managing partner of Labasa-based firm Gibson & Company, Mr Reddy noted that  his “wealth of valuable experience and background in Insurance, Commercial, Company, Labour & Employment laws, taxation and finance in a broad range of industries.”

“He combines his legal expertise with a strong background in litigation, mediation, dispute resolution, negotiations, contract drafting and general business management, all of which we are desperately in need of.”

Mr Reddy pointed that “the industry is currently facing the greatest financial and operational challenges in its 150-year history, through massively declining cane production, milling efficiencies, collapsing mill plant and machinery, seriously degraded transport infrastructure, escalating costs, skill shortages and multiple contractual litigations. We need directors who can walk the talk and deliver.”

“He will add significant value to our ranks in terms of planning, evaluating and implementing legal strategies to manage those challenges.”

Board Chairman, Nitya Reddy thank him for accepting the appointment.
