‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ Is Back for Season 3: Dating Show’s Cast, Premiere Date and More
The Bachelor, but make it country. That’s essentially the premise behind Fox’s hit dating show Farmer Wants a Wife, which returns for season 3 in March 2025. More specifically, the reality series — based on the British show of the same name — sees four bachelor farmers court eight city women each. This season’s cast is filled with women ranging in age from 22 to 33 and working all kinds of jobs, from nannies to nurses and even a zoo employee. As for the bachelors, they hail from all over the U.S.
Who Are the Farmers on ‘Farmer Wants a Wife’ Season 3?
Fox announced the names of the four farmers searching for their forever loves on January 17, 2025. First, there’s Matt Warren, a 30-year-old avocado and exotic fruit farmer from Morro Bay, California, where he has a 132-acre farm. He also has 70 acres of land in Visalia.
“Matt’s natural gift for fruit farming makes it look like he’s been doing it his whole life, but it wasn’t until in the last few years when his sister-in-law’s parents tragically passed away, that he traded in his real estate house flipping hammer for a harvesting hoe,” People reported. “Matt dove deeply into the agriculture industry and has worked alongside his brother and sister-in-law ever since.”
Though Matt has grown fond of the “Uncle Matt” nickname given to him by his nine nieces and nephews, he said he’s ready to settle down and start a family of his own. The first-generation farmer is “looking for someone active and family-oriented who can keep up with the fun of the fruit farming lifestyle.”
Next is John Sansone, 25, who works on a 170-acre soy, corn and wheat farm in St. Louis, Missouri. Along with his five siblings, John grew up learning everything there is to know about farming from his grandfather. “To this day, he feels incredibly lucky to be in the presence of such an incredible farmer on his great-grandfather’s land and dreams of making his family even prouder by finding a partner,” People reported.
When he’s not working on the farm, John is studying hard for his law degree or enjoying “woodland drives with his grandfather, daytime fishing and nighttime frog gigging.” He hopes to find a partner so that “he can continue the farming legacy and his grandfather can bear witness to the next, most important chapter of his life!”
Colton Hendricks, 28, is a cattle rancher and horse trainer on a 600-acre farm in Mena, Arkansas. He grew up working on a farm alongside his father and has learned the value of hard work, family and love. Though Colton knows what he wants from dating, he is a divorced dad of a 2-year-old son and has struggled to find someone who’s ready to be a stepmom.
“With his whole family close by and gorgeous property to raise his dream football team-sized family, Colton is looking forward to meeting a partner who knows what they are signing up for,” according to People.
Jay Woods, 25, works as a hay and cattle farmer on 515 acres of land in Florence, Alabama, although he knows he’s not perceived as a typical “cowboy.” However, Jay grew up on his grandfather’s horse farm spending time outdoors by farming, hunting, kayaking, fishing and more. He once dreamed of playing football at Duke University but was forced to change his plans due to an injury.

“Choosing to return to his roots was easy, and he’s never looked back,” People noted. “While Jay felt pressure playing college football, it’s nothing compared to the massive pressure his mom’s been putting on him lately asking about grandbabies! Jay’s looking for a kind-hearted, refined, confident woman who isn’t afraid to get her hands dirty on the farm!”

Actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley has replaced country singer Jennifer Nettles as the host of Farmer Wants a Wife season 3.
