Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Luckily, Plymouth is home to some great spots. Whether you're on the hunt for a traditional English breakfast, something healthy like a porridge, or opting for the extravagant with a pancake or waffle dish, there is so much on offer.
Some could say too many options, which is where Tripadvisor comes in. The popular travel and comparison website has a ranking of the best places to grab a breakfast in Plymouth.
It bases its overall rating on reviews, which are given either by critics or everyday customers and visitors. PlymouthLive has compiled a list of the best breakfast restaurants in the city, with the help of Tripadvisor. Here is everything you need to know.

"We had a fantastic meal at Monty’s. We visited as a family of 8, and they were amazing at catering to all our needs—including coeliac requirements and fussy little eaters. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure everyone was happy. The food was great, and the service was so friendly and helpful - absolutely spot on. A wonderful experience from start to finish—highly recommend!"
"Popped in with out booking but surprisingly they had a table free. Drinks came quickly, our order arrived with 15 minutes. It didn’t disappoint, absolutely gorgeous pancakes with fruit and maple syrup for me and my sister had a slice of their homemade coffee cake, huge slice!"
"Food was brilliant and tasted amazing! My 6yr old loved the pancakes with maple syrup, my husband said the full English breakfast was the best he had ever had. I have food allergies and the waitress was amazing at double checking what I could and couldn't have, I had the halloumi hash and poached egg... awesome!"
