March Madness: How to watch the women's NCAA Tournament and what to watch for
Women’s basketball has not slowed down at all this season as March Madness arrives. A year ago, the women’s NCAA championship game drew a bigger television audience than the men’s title game for the first time. The question was whether some fans would step away as Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese and other standouts headed to the WNBA. Instead, the women’s game has featured a compelling bunch of stars all over again. And so far, four teams have held the No. 1 spot in the AP Top 25, making the tournament winner anyone’s guess.

Browns QB Deshaun Watson and longtime girlfriend Jilly Anais get engaged
Deshaun Watson’s future with Cleveland Browns might be in doubt. However, another part of his future is more secure. The caption reads “Mrs. Watson loading ...” while showing off Anais wearing a large diamond ring as Watson hugs and looks at her. He may miss the entire 2025 season after rupturing his right Achilles tendon for the second time in three months in January.
California man wins $50 million in lawsuit over burns from Starbucks tea
LOS ANGELES (AP) — A delivery driver has won $50 million in a lawsuit after being seriously burned when a Starbucks drink spilled in his lap at a California drive-through. Court records show a Los Angeles County jury found Friday for Michael Garcia. He underwent skin grafts and other procedures on his genitals after a venti-sized tea drink spilled instants after he collected it in February 2020. His negligence lawsuit said a Starbucks employee didn’t wedge the scalding-hot tea firmly enough into a takeout tray. Starbucks says it sympathizes with Garcia but plans to appeal. The Seattle-based coffee giant says it's committed to the highest safety standards in handling hot drinks.
‘Novocaine’ leads numbingly slow weekend at domestic box office
Five new movies opened in wide release in North American theaters this weekend. And yet it's likely going to be the lowest-grossing of the year to date. According to studio estimates Sunday, the Jack Quaid action-comedy “Novocaine” took first place with $8.7 million. "Mickey 17” and the new Steven Soderbergh spy-thriller “Black Bag” were neck and neck for second and third place with both reporting $7.5 million weekends. Fourth place went to “Captain America: Brave New World” in its fifth weekend. “The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie” rounded out the top five.
What to know about March Madness if you don’t follow college basketball
The college basketball season is winding down, which means March Madness is upon us. The annual men’s and women’s National Collegiate Athletic Association tournaments are among the most closely watched sporting events in the U.S. Every year, millions of people fill out their own brackets in hopes of correctly guessing who will win each round. The tournaments' unpredictability is what makes them so popular. Lower-seeded teams regularly beat the higher-seeded ones in the men's bracket, throwing brackets and predictions completely out the window. The tournament brackets will be unveiled on Sunday.
Kashmir's Sufi music lovers are sticking with the audio cassette
SRINAGAR, India (AP) — Shaksaaz, a tailor in the Kashmiri city of Srinagar, inherited his passion for local Sufi music from his grandfather along with a meticulously preserved collection of cassette tapes from the 1970s, which he often listens to as he works. He’s part of a small, dedicated community that believes cassette tapes are the best way to listen to and archive the Sufi music of Indian-controlled Kashmir, where music has long been a deep expression of spirituality and emotion. While the music, inspired by local and central Asian Muslim saints, is increasingly available in digital formats, many Kashmiris say that it’s best heard on audio cassettes. They're maintaining decades-old tape players to keep the tradition alive.
Indonesia's cocoa farmers work with businesses to fight the bitter impact of climate change
TANJUNG REJO, Indonesia (AP) — Thousands of cocoa farmers across Indonesia are working with businesses and other organizations to protect their crops against the bitter impacts of climate change. Hotter and wetter weather is helping to spread deadly fungus and pests to the highly susceptible trees. Farmers are switching to other crops, too, due to high costs, shrinking yields and rising risks. Cocoa supplies have been falling, while prices have soared. Indonesia is the world's third largest cocoa producer after Cote D'Ivoire and Ghana. Experts hope the industry will take off as farmers get better training and financial support.

Vitale teared up as he looked into the camera while sitting between fellow announcers Dave O’Brien and Cory Alexander.
McLaren's Lando Norris wins wet and wild Australian Grand Prix. Hamilton finishes 10th
MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — McLaren’s Lando Norris has won a chaotic rain-affected Australian Grand Prix, his first victory at Albert Park, with the British driver just managing to stay ahead of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen following a third safety car late in the race. Mercedes’ George Russell closed out the top-three. Lewis Hamilton had a miserable Ferrari debut. The seven-time champion finished 10th and was annoyed by constant radio messages from his pit team. The Melbourne race had a thrilling start with Racing Bull’s Isack Hadjar out on the formation lap, and Alpine’s Jack Doohan and Williams’ Carlos Sainz crashing on the opening lap.
