‘Around the Farm Table’ host coming to Beloit Public Library

The Beloit Public Library (BPL) will be getting a facelift after Gov. Tony Evers awarded the facility a $3,890,558 Flexible Facilities Program Grant on Monday.

BELOIT, Wis. (WIFR) - A face from Wisconsin Public Television is coming to the Beloit Public Library.

Inga Witscher, host of PBS' “Around the Farm Table” will prepare a seasonally-inspired recipe while sharing stories about her life on the farm. She’ll also share her experiences while filming the Wisconsin-themed series.

Witscher is a fourth-generation organic dairy farmer who operates a small farm near Osseo. Her recipes have included such items as bison tartar, Wisconsin maple syrup vinaigrette, nettle pesto, and Danish rye bread.

The free event is planned for 6-7 p.m. Friday, March 28, at the library, 605 Eclipse Boulevard. It is open to the public and no registration is required.
