On January 17, the machine park of label manufacturer contact Auszeichnungssysteme was expanded to include a new printing press called 'Gallus Labelmaster'. The innovative, eight-color flexographic printing machine makes it possible to offer even higher quality and more diverse labeling solutions. "With increased production speed, outstanding print quality, and increased flexibility, we are ideally equipped to meet the individual requirements of our customers efficiently and cost-effectively," says the management of the Hirschhorn (Neckar)-based industry supplier.
The integration of the Labelmaster system into the existing machine park marks a significant step forward for both the company and its customers. "This state-of-the-art UV-LED printing system offers a high degree of flexibility, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability in the production process, as well as variability and quality in the print results. This is because the machine guarantees excellent print quality with a precise register (print image accuracy), even at varying speeds. Thanks to high print speeds of up to 200 m/min and shorter setup times, we can also process orders more quickly, which in turn enables our customers to respond faster to market requirements. Furthermore, the system minimizes material consumption and production waste, thanks to the extremely short path of just 1.4 m between the printing units," explains Kay Wagner, authorized signatory at the company.
The innovative, eight-colour printing system was installed on 17 January.
Customized label solutions
The UV-LED ink drying process is designed to save energy and protect the environment, while also optimizing color quality and the durability of printed results. Wagner: "The Gallus Labelmaster processes a wide range of materials, including laminates, paper, cardboard, and monofoils. This enables us to produce labels for a wide range of applications and industries. It is also worth mentioning that the eight-color press enables us to combine various printing methods and finishing techniques, thereby offering customized label solutions that meet the specific requirements of industry and trade."
Packaging with vibrant colors
The fruit and vegetable sector has been one of the key markets for K-D Hermann GmbH for many years, particularly in the field of labels. The company supplies a wide range of labels for fresh and processed products in this industry. "Here, too, the Gallus Labelmaster offers several advantages. This is because the vibrant colors and photorealistic images make the marketed product more appealing, while transparent areas emphasize its freshness. Labels for lettuce packaging or fruit bowls with vivid color displays are the best example," he concludes.
