Dutch Lady fortifies products with vitamin C
Dutch company FrieslandCampina’s Dutch Lady dairy brand has given its products a makeover with the addition of vitamin C.

It has also given them new appealing packaging to attract both children and parents.
The company claimed Dutch Lady is one of the first to add vitamin C to fresh milk.
It also has protein, calcium and vitamin D.
The Government’s national nutritionstrategy for 2020-30 aims for optimal nutritional security for all citizens by 2045, and FrieslandCampina Vietnam said it is actively supporting this mission by improving access to quality nutrition, especially for children.
The Southeast Asia Nutrition Survey done by FrieslandCampina and the National Institute of Nutrition of VietNam found hidden hunger, a referenceto micronutrient deficiencies without visible symptoms,is a major concern among Vietnamese children.
It found alarming rates of inadequate daily intake: 81per centlack calcium, 95per centlack vitamin D, 66per centlack vitamin C, 56per cent lack vitamin A, and 32per centlack vitamin B12.
These deficiencies can impair children's physical growth, brain development and academic performance.
Russell Lipchin, managing director of FrieslandCampina Vietnam, said: “In ViệtNam, we have developed cooperation programmes with government agencies and organisations to promote nutrition knowledge and education, not only empowering individuals to make informed dietary decisions but also establish lifelong healthy eating habits.” — VNS
