GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)-The Gulfport Harbor Farmers Market is back open for the spring season.

The market operates seasonally from March through October, offering visitors a variety of locally produced items, including USDA certified organic and naturally grown produce, dairy products, meats, and more.

This weekly event also provides an opportunity for community members to connect with local farmers, artists, and gardeners, supporting home-grown vendors and promoting sustainable practices. Farmers Market Manager Suzanne Paulk said, “We’ve got granola, eggs, seasonings, vegetables, we’ve got a little bit of everything. So, we wish you’d come out and see us, keep supporting Gulfport and we will be looking for you.”

Vendor Bethany Holliday said, “It is just a privilege to be in the great state of Mississippi and of course I have some flowers and some homemade granola. I’m growing some fresh picked flowers; I was out at daylight this morning picking to bring them down here and I just love being here on the Gulf Coast. There are great vendors, it’s full and I just can’t get over that this is the first day of the market and that I was accepted to come be apart, so it’s just a real privilege.”

The market is open every Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Jones Park.
