A football fan fulfilled his dream of watching the Cherries at the Vitality Stadium for the first time in 20 years.

Roger, who receives help from Care South at Home's Bournemouth carers, mentioned his wish to see a live game at the stadium during one of his daily visits from the support team.

The team arranged for him to attend the match against Brentford on Saturday, March 15, with home care assistant, Adewale Adebayo.

Normally, Roger watches every Cherries game on TV, but he said it was "extra special" to be part of the live crowd.

Roger said: "It was a great atmosphere. It was lovely.

"I enjoyed going with Adewale as he knows everything there is to know about football."

His wife, Jackie, praised the support given by Care South at Home, saying it was extended to her as well.

This experience was part of Care South's partnership with AFC Bournemouth, which allows residents, home care clients and staff to participate in various activities, including seated football sessions, player meet and greets and stadium visits.

Tracie Gregory, manager of Care South at Home’s Bournemouth office, said: "We are so pleased that we could enable Roger’s special wish."
