Special Olympics Bermuda Raises $2,500

Special Olympics Bermuda reached its target of raising $2,500 from the third Polar Plunge charity event at Shelley Bay Beach this month.

The event invited the community to “Get Freezin’ for a Reason” while supporting athletes with intellectual disabilities.

“Polar Plunge 2025! What an incredible day!” read a Special Olympics Bermuda social media post yesterday [March 27].

“The sun was shining and the atmosphere was filled with laughter and good vibes. Participants eagerly and bravely jumped in, showcasing their daring spirit, creativity and heart for charity.

“A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, whether you took the plunge or cheered from the sidelines, your enthusiasm and support made this event unforgettable!

“Thanks to the enthusiasm of participants and fundraisers $2,500 for Special Olympics Bermuda!

“Thank you! A special shoutout goes to our top individual fundraiser, Llewka Richards, [who raised nearly 25% of the total] and to our biggest team fundraisers, Jayden’s Jumpers!”
