‘We Won!’ Trump Brags He Golfed With Finland President Stubb, Fox’s Trey Gowdy and They Talked About, Ahem, Ice Breaker Ships
President Donald Trump spent his Saturday golfing with celebrities and the President of Finland, he told his Truth Social followers.
The commander-in-chief said the meeting was productive in the sense he and Finnish leader Alexander Stubb won a tournament. They also discussed the kinds of ships a country would need to own to regularly navigate a body of water such as the Arctic Ocean.
Trump said he and Stubb discussed a US purchase of icebreaker ships a day after Vice President JD Vance went to Greenland – which Trump badly wants from Denmark.
The president also wrote Fox’s Trey Gowdy, Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), and golf legend Gary Player were golfing with him and Stubb:
I just played a round of Golf with Alexander Stubb, President of Finland. He is a very good player, and we won the Men’s Member-Guest Golf Tournament at Trump International Golf Club in Palm Beach County, with the Legendary Gary Player, Senator Lindsey Graham, and former Congressman and highly successful Television Host, Trey Gowdy. President Stubb and I look forward to strengthening the partnership between the United States and Finland, and that includes the purchase and development of a large number of badly needed Icebreakers for the U.S., delivering Peace and International Security for our Countries, and the World.
President Stubb told me, in the most powerful of words, that the United States is STRONG, and BACK, AGAIN. I AGREE!
Stubb praised Trump last month for his rhetoric on the war in Ukraine in comments reported by The Helsinki Times.
“Personally I’m of the opinion that the only talk that Putin understands is tough talk,” Stubb reportedly said. “And that’s exactly the kind of talk that Trump is using against Putin right now. And I actually think that’s a good thing.”
