Students from a secondary school in Kidderminster had the opportunity to quiz the local MP on a number of political and national issues.

Holy Trinity School student council members from years 9, 10 and 12 had the opportunity to question Wyre Forest MP Mark Garnier about a variety of national and political issues from developments in Ukraine to housing.

The MP visited the school on Friday (March 21) and covered diverse discussion topics from Brexit to Keir Starmer’s efficacy at handling the recent developments in Ukraine, how he planned to support the local infrastructure to accommodate increased housing development and what a typical day was like in Parliament.

Staff at the school were "incredibly proud" of the students.

Headmaster Ian Williams said: "I was incredibly proud of our students and very impressed by their eloquence, perceptive insights and their wide-ranging knowledge of political issues and current affairs."
