Danny Jones' wife Georgia Horsley makes huge marriage statement as she spills on Maura kiss
McFly singer Danny Jones' wife Georgia Horsley has stepped out in London as she makes her huge return to work after shunning the limelight following his kiss with Maura Higgins
Danny Jones' wife Georgia Horsley has made a comeback to work weeks after turning her back on the limelight following her husband's kiss with Maura Higgins. The married McFly singer shocked when he was filmed kissing the Love Island star at a BRIT Awards afterparty in March.
He went on to issue a grovelling apology to his wife Georgia and their son Cooper, seven, amid the backlash. Maura, meanwhile, has stayed silent on the matter. Amid the fallout, former Miss England Georgia temporarily moved out of their family home but has since returned to work things through.
A source told the Mirror: "Georgia is returning to face the music after weeks away. She took some time for herself after the incident blew up but now she's ready to talk."
Speaking about Georgia's decision to temporarily leave the family home, a separate source told us: "This wasn’t some grand gesture where she suddenly packed her bags and left. It was just a girlie few nights at a close pal’s flat. Yes, she wanted some space, but she is home now, and while things are still fragile, they are trying to work things through."
Another source close to the couple also revealed: "The break has done Georgia a world of good. Being out of the house and with her friend Rose Mahon was what she needed to clear her head. Her relationship with Danny was pushed to breaking point, and they are still trying to work out what they want."
Now, it seems Georgia is fully ready to return to her normal life as she made her work comeback. She took time off her podcast, which she hosts with Kelsey Parker, amid the scandal as the widow of The Wanted's Tom Parker carried on without her.
Georgia even pulled out of scheduled events following Danny's betrayal. The mum-of-one has since made a steady return to work, having filmed an advert for Kellogg's last week.
She has now returned to working on her Mum's The Word podcast as she was spotted leaving a London recording studio on Monday. Georgia met up with her sister in the capital as she recorded her comeback episode to the podcast.
The influencer looked radiant as she stepped out in a light green jacket over a white graphic T-shirt. She paired it with a pair of straight leg blue jeans and black boots. The sisters linked arms as they walked out the building together.
Georgia's ring finger was seen for the first time since the scandal as her wedding band and engagement ring were firmly on.
Fans are eagerly awaiting the upcoming show, which is expected to be released on Monday, as they wait to see if she will discuss the Danny saga.
Georgia confirmed she was heading back to work in a social media post yesterday. She shared a snap of her son Cooper riding his bike and wrote: "School drop @mumstheword_pod recording day."
In a statement, the McFly singer said: "Hello everyone, sorry it's taken me a while to post this but I've taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation.
"I love them so much and we'll continue to deal with this privately. I love you guys, thank you for your patience, understanding, and support. See you all soon, Danny."
Insiders claimed that the entire ordeal has been "embarrassing" for the mother-of-one, who tied the knot with Danny in 2014. "Danny and Georgia may still be married but they're not together and she is working out what she wants to do," an insider added.
They continued: "She has been hugely hurt and embarrassed by everything and told Danny she needed to get away. She has been staying with her friend Rose since Wednesday."
