THE Cherries are hopeful that Luis Sinisterra will be able to return to the squad from injury before the end of the season, but Andoni Iraola said they must be careful with the Colombian.

Sinisterra missed four months with a hamstring problem, suffering a number of setbacks before coming off the bench in the dying moments of the away win at Southampton.

He then came off the bench against Brighton, Spurs and Brentford, as well as scoring the winning penalty against Wolves.

But against Brentford, he came on only to be replaced 18 minutes later with a recurrence of the same issue.

Asked if Sinisterra would return to the squad before the end of the season, Iraola told the Daily Echo: “I hope so.

“But with Sini, we have to be very careful because we've been very careful with him in the past injury.

“He had some setbacks and once we thought he was ready, we put him there and he has got injured again.

“So obviously we want to have him back before the end of the season and the plan is to have him back, but I don't want to say and guarantee anything because with Luis, everything has cost us a lot.”
