Addis Ababa, April 11, 2025 (ENA) – Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) Workneh Gebeyehu underscored that the shared values, cultures, and aspirations among countries in the Horn of Africa must shape our approach to mediation and conflict resolution—through greater coordination among regional actors and international partners.
The Horn of Africa is a region bound by shared values, cultures, and aspirations, he said.
IGAD’s Chief said these ties must also shape our approach to mediation and conflict resolution—through greater coordination among regional actors and international partners.
“This afternoon, I was honoured to join a high-level panel on the Horn of Africa’s geopolitical outlook, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Antalya, Türkiye-a timely platform for dialogue and diplomatic engagement,” he saod on social media post.
Workneh further extended deep appreciation to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for Türkiye’s unwavering support to region and its Member States.
