Cypress Hill have teamed up with Z2 Comics for a new graphic novel, titled "Cypress Hill: Black Sunday," celebrating the group's seminal sophomore record Black Sunday.
Z2 Comics says "Cypress Hill: Black Sunday" is a graphic novel that "takes you on a journey through the making of the groundbreaking album. From the intense cultural impact to the unforgettable sound that shaped a generation, this graphic novel is a celebration of Black Sunday that is truly Insane in the Brain!"
The graphic novel was written by Noah Callahan-Bever and Gabriel Alvarez. It was illustrated by a team of talented artists, including Ken Knudtsen, Sebastian Piriz, Giorgio Pontrelli, Felix Ruiz, Guillermo Sanna, Jordan Kroeger.
"We called it Black Sunday because we're Raiders fans and also Black Sabbath fans," B-Real said in a press release about the graphic novel. "So Black Sunday felt like an appropriate title for the album. We tried to match the imagery up with what we were putting down musically."
