The UK faces 2cm per hour snow with 19 counties battered by the white stuff. WX Charts maps and charts, which are compiled and projected using Met Desk data, show a cold front sweeping into the country - with heavy snowfall as we head through the fourth month of the year.
The snowy system looks set to hit 19 different counties across England and Wales, including Berkshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Devon, Dorset, Oxfordshire and Warwickshire, alongside the likes of Worcestershire and Herefordshire too.
The worst of the weather will likely hit around April 22, with maps charting a massive purple blotch over dozens of square miles over England and Wales. Across the border, 10 counties in Wales could be hammered, too.

These include Monmouthshire, Caerphilly, Torfaen, Vale of Glamorgan, Cardiff, Newport, Bridgend, Rhonda Cynon Taf, Merthyr Tydfil and Blaenau Gwent. A Met Office forecast for the short-term explains: "Turning more unsettled this week, with rain at times."
Looking at Monday (April 14), it adds: "Outbreaks of rain, perhaps heavy and thundery, will affect the south and east of Scotland, western parts of England and Wales, and the east of Northern Ireland. Warm sunshine to the southeast, turning hazy. Brighter, cooler and showery further northwest.
"Rather cloudy in most areas with some showers, merging in places to give some longer spells of rain. Clearer spells in the northwest, allowing a patchy frost to form."
Its Tuesday (April 15) outlook goes on to suggest: "Mostly fine in the northwest. Cloudier elsewhere with showers, perhaps heavy and thundery, merging to give more persistent rain in places. Warm in brighter breaks in the east. Otherwise cool."
The outlook for Wednesday to Friday, spanning April 16 to April 18, adds: "Rain clearing away to the northeast on Wednesday to leave sunshine and showers heading into Thursday.
"Some more persistent outbreaks of rain developing again for many on Friday."
