CleanTechnica’s conference season never ends, and aside from conferences this autumn in Dubai (UAE) and Paris (France) where we lent or will lend our face and thoughts, we are also hosting our next Cleantech Revolution Tour conference in November, this time alongside co-organizer and regional EV charging leader Greenway.

At “West Meets East: Charging Central & Eastern Europe’s Electromobility Revolution,” EV charging leaders from companies and cities across Europe will discuss the cutting edge of EV charging technology, policy, and design. EV charging trendsetters from Norway, the City of Amsterdam, Nissan, Fortum, EV-Box, Greenway, and beyond will ponder and forecast where EV charging technology is headed. They will also deliver advice to city policymakers and staff about how to ideally implement EV charging infrastructure for maximum effect and a quicker EV revolution.

One key element of this conference will be a white paper on EV charging guidelines that will be finalized in a day-long working group of industry leaders on November 7, with facilitation coming from Ernst & Young (EY) and CleanTechnica. The prime focus is stimulating and improving EV charging infrastructure in the Central & Eastern Europe (CEE) region, but the guidelines will be applicable across cities in Europe and globally.

A full agenda can be found on the Cleantech Revolution Tour website, and tickets can be bought on eventbrite.

We also just published the event to Facebook, so you can check in there for ongoing updates.

Conference partners and sponsors (aside from Greenway), who we owe many thanks to, include: JanomNissan, Tesla Shuttle, ELMOEV Obsession, EV VolumesThe Beam, and Climate-KIC.

Hope to see you in Warsaw!

West Meets East: Charging Central & Eastern Europe’s Electromobility Revolution Conference Coming to Warsaw

First ever conference of its kind focused on e-mobility developments in the region, including an experts forum and dedicated track for local government officials

October 4, 2017 [Warsaw, Poland] — The first ever conference by and for practitioners, taking a look at the growing electric mobility ecosystem in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) is taking place in Warsaw, Poland November 6–8, 2017.

Organized by leading clean technology news and analysis provider CleanTechnica and local CEE electromobility company Greenway Infrastructure, this conference will feature electric vehicle (EV) professionals, companies, associations, and officials from CEE and around Europe all coming together to share their insights, experiences, technology and investment plans for the region.

Speakers include leading EV professionals from EV-Box, PlugSurfing, Fortum, Lotus, Tesla Shuttle, various car manufacturers, cities, plus many more.

Over the last few years especially there have been many notable developments in electric mobility in CEE, but they are not widely discussed. This event will provide the most up-to-date insights and plans directly from the experts doing the work every day. For anyone interested in these growing markets, this event is not to be missed.

One outcome of the conference will be a white paper entitled: “Guidelines and Best Practices for Installing Charging Infrastructure in Central & Eastern Europe.” Day 2 of the conference will have a special focus on providing practical, actionable information for local officials from municipalities in the region who are thinking about installing electric mobility infrastructure in their communities, to equip them with the information they need to begin.

“There have recently been many developments in electromobility in CEE, but as I travel around Europe I rarely hear them discussed. This event is designed to change all of that,” Peter Badik, co-founder and managing partner of Greenway, notes. “By bringing EV experts from across Europe together in this way and holding workshops to build the capacity of our regional municipal officials, we’re excited to highlight the growth and potential of this very large region of Europe.”
