Apio, Inc. is voluntarily recalling some of its Eat Smart Single-Serve Salad Shake Ups bowls after the Canadian Food Inspection Agency found listeria monocytogenes in a random sample of a salad bowl. Some of the recalled bowls were shipped to Oregon and Washington.
The Guadalupe, California-based company announced the recall Saturday.
The bowl that tested positive was an Eat Smart Single-Serve Salad Shake Ups Sweet Kale/Chou Frise Doux salad with a best before date of Dec. 14, 2018. As a precaution, Apio, Inc. is recalling all products produced on the same day and in the same production line as the bowl that was sampled by the CFIA.
So far, no illnesses have been linked to the recall.

The products were shipped to retailers and distributors in Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, and Washington.
