Cannasure Insurance Services (Cannasure), an insurance managing general agent (MGA) and wholesale broker for the cannabis and hemp industries, has hired Jay Dharia as client service director in the group’s Cleveland, Ohio, corporate office.
Dharia will be responsible for the group’s service and support staff, overseeing account and service performance, enhanced service and efficiency ratios. He will play a critical role on the management team toward leading program efficiency, driving revenue, and building long lasting partnerships with clients and carrier partners.
Dharia has spent the past five years with AMICA Insurance, overseeing sales and client services in the Midwest and Texas. He also worked with under-performing offices in Arizona, Connecticut and Washington to restore them to the AMICA performance standards.
Cannasure Insurance Services LLC provides insurance products and services for U.S. cannabis and hemp businesses, including cultivators, retailers, processors and products manufacturers, testing laboratories, landlords, and ancillary businesses. Cannasure was founded in 2010 in Westlake, Ohio, and it is licensed in all states where cannabis and hemp are legal and regulated for medical or adult use. It is a full-service insurance group and provides a broad range of products, including but not limited to general liability, product liability, auto (primary/excess), all risk property, inland marine, stock throughput, professional and management liability, umbrella, and workers’ compensation.
